CHAPTER 9:
THE APOSTATE CHURCH OF TODAY... AND JUDGEMENT FOR THEIR DISOBEDIENCE
Prov. 30:12; “There is a generation that is pure in it’s own eyes, and yet is not washed from it’s filthiness.”
Rev. 3:16; “So then because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spit you out of My mouth!” (The Lord is speaking to the church, and “lukewarm” DEFINITELY describes the church today; always rationalizing, leaning on their OWN understanding, and finding any excuse for their sin to feed their desires and idolatries.
Eze. 24:13; “In your filthiness is lewdness: because I have purged you, and you were not purged, you shall NOT be purged from your filthiness any more, till I have caused my fury to rest upon you.”
Eze. 18:20; “The soul that sins, it shall die!”
Ex. 32:33; “Whoever sins against me, him will I blot out of My book.” One cannot simply say; “Well, Jesus covers my sins” if they continue sinning! One cannot avail himself of what Jesus did on the cross if he continues doing what put Him there!
Rev.3:5; “He who overcomes” (the world, the flesh, and the devil) “I will not blot out his name, out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.”
Matt. 7:19-20; “Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.”
2Tim. 4:3-4; “For the time will come when they will NOT endure sound doctrine; but after their own desires shall they draw to themselves teachers, having itching ears; and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto myths.”
1Pet. 4:17,18; (This is one of the most brushed over, yet vital passages in the Bible); “For the time has come for judgment to BEGIN at the house of God (the church); and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who DO NOT OBEY the gospel of God? Being that the righteous are SCARCELY saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?” Important note on this word- “scarcely”; Remember how in Mark 10:17-22, Jesus told the ‘rich young ruler’ that he STILL LACKED one thing EVEN THOUGH he had been righteous and keeping the commandments since his youth? The second thing Jesus told him to do IFhe wanted to enter into His kingdom was to LOSE one’s life over to God; to give up ALL idols! Today, MOST professing “Christians” are not even righteous and obedient to the commandments, let alone surrendered of their idols! They are “lukewarm” at best, so how do they think THEY’RE making it? Once again, the key to BEING righteous, Jesus said, IS to be surrendered of ALL idolatry. “Take up your cross and follow me.” When one still holds on to ANYTHING or ANYONE in his heart, and his will has not been broken over to God, that idol he holds on to WILL control him. He becomes unrighteous in the site of God, and the consequence of that unrighteousness and disobedience to His commandment- is death, (eternally). No matter how “saved by grace” he may think he is.
1Tim. 4:1-3; “Now the Spirit speaks expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of demons; speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron."
1Cor. 5:11; (Many professing “Christians” who sin, hang out with other professing “Christians” who sin, but for the TRUE Christians who are obedient and do not sin, Paul commands this); “Do not keep company with anyone who calls himself a Christian, who is a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; NOT EVEN TO EAT with such a person.” This is one of the MANY things that you do not hear preached in the apostate church today!
Prov. 28:9; “One who turns away his ear from hearing the law, EVEN HIS PRAYER is an abomination.”
Isa. 59:2; “But your iniquities have separated you from your God, and your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will Not hear.”
Jer. 17:9; “The heart is deceitful above ALL things and desperately wicked, who can know it?”
Luke 13:24; (This passage is staggering. It is NOT written to the unbelievers in the world, who are not trying to “enter” Heaven. This is about (and to) the professing “believers”); “Strive to enter through the NARROW gate, for MANY, I say to you, will SEEK TO ENTER and WILL NOT be able.”
Matt. 7:14; (Then He says); “Narrow is the gate, and hard is the way, which leads unto life, and there are FEW who find it.”
Prov. 14:12; “There is a way that seems right to a man, but it’s end is the way of death.”
Matt. 22:14; (Again, SPECIFICALLY to the church- to the ones who are ‘called’); “MANY are called but FEW are chosen.”
Matt. 13:47-50; (Of all those who THOUGHT they were “saved” because they ‘raised their hand’ in a church meeting, and/or repeated some spiritual words one day, but afterwards their actions didn’t prove it: The bad, and anything that offends God gets tossed out of His kingdom at the end); “The KINGDOM OF HEAVEN is like a giant net… gathering some of every kind… then the angels shall come forth and separate the wicked from the righteous.”
Mat 13:41; “The Son of man shall send forth His angels, and they shall gather OUT OF HIS KINGDOM all things that offend, and those who do iniquity.”
Psalms 101:8; “Early, I will destroy all the wicked of the land; that I may cut off all wicked doers from the city of the LORD.”
1Sam. 8:7; “God said to Samuel… they have not rejected you, they have rejected Me that I should not RULE over them.”
Heb. 12:25; “See that you do not refuse Him who speaks. For if they did not escape who refused Him who spoke on earth, much more shall WE not escape if we turn away from Him who speaks from Heaven.”
2Thess. 1:8-9 “In flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God: on those who DO NOT OBEY the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. These shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power!”
Matt. 7:23; Jesus will say to them; “I never knew you, depart from Me, you who sin.”
Gal. 5:19-21; (This is a list of 17 different sins written by Paul, the apostle of God, through whom the Lord announces as sins carrying the penalty of eternal death. In my personal opinion, at least 12 out of the 17 describe many professing ‘believers’ in the church today, many of which also describe myself as a professing “believer” before I truly came to Christ June 26, 2006); “Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, impurity, lewdness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, contentions, jealousy, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like: of which I tell you beforehand, as I have told you in time past, that they who do such things shall NOT INHERIT THE KINGDOM OF GOD!” (Again, no matter how “saved by grace” they may think they are, NO ONE doing those things, unrepentant will go to Heaven.)
Matt. 24:51; “Appoint him his portion with the hypocrites. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”
Matt. 7:21; Not everyone who professes that I am their Lord, shall enter the kingdom of Heaven; but he that does the will of My Father in Heaven (In other words, everyone who obeys God shall enter the kingdom. It’s always about obedience).
Isa. 59:20; “The Redeemer (Jesus) shall come… to them who TURN FROM THEIR SINS…”
Eze. 18:30-31; “Therefore I will judge you… every one according to his ways, says the Lord GOD. Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin. Cast away from you all your transgressions, by which you have transgressed; and make you a new heart and a new spirit: for why will you die?”
Luke 19:27; (Says the Lord); “Bring here those enemies of mine who did not want Me to RULE over them and slay them before me!” (He is talking about His OWN servants here (Vs. 13), referring to the disobedient servants as His enemies!)
